The Pone Wars 3.7: Alternative Facts

While this page isn't a mashup of two pages, I did end up consolidating several frames because I didn't want to think of additional background events (or create additional scene elements) for the battle.  Consequently it's a bit visually busier than I would like.

We don't get to see it very often, so here's the deal with Ginger Snap's cutie mark; it was supposed to be a proximity mine from Dark Forces (on reflection I think it's actually the 'power surge' item), theoretically indicating that she has a talent for counterterrorism -- though I actually think it means she has a tendency to blow up under pressure.  So far I've established that she's pretty good at opening things, one way or another.

Speaking of cutie marks, for those who've been wondering what Moon Moth's actually means - moths are scary-good at protective camouflage, and Moon Moth is talented at lying her way out of trouble. Of course, the fact that her fabrication makes way more sense than what's really going on helps a bit (I'm not sure if that counts as 'truth stranger than fiction' given that this is a fiction inside a fiction that is based on a portmanteau of fictions, neither of which are even remotely internally consistent).
